Plant and machinery manufacturers increase environmental efficiency

Paper production, paper converting and printing in Germany and Europe become more and more environmentally friendly. In the last few years, tremendous efforts have been made in various sectors to decrease the environmental load and to make more efficient use of raw materials and energy. This was revealed in two studies carried out by the VDMA Association “Printing and Paper Equipment and Supplies”.

One impressive example: Thanks to the use of efficient mechanical engineering technologies, within the space of ten years energy savings were achieved that correspond to the annual electricity consumption of around 90 million private households.
