Annual General Meeting of the WINKLER+DÜNNEBIER AG

Neuwied; 11.05.2007. At today’s Annual General Meeting of the Winkler+Dünnebier AG, Neuwied, the annual balance sheet and the consolidated accounts, as well as the numbers for the first four months of the current fiscal year were presented by the board of executives. As expected, the report of the board of executives was positive: In 2006 W+D achieved a net profit of Euro 4.3 Million, despite a slightly reduced turnover which is a profit margin exceeding the average of the printing- and paper technology. The sales revenue for the first 4 months in 2007 was slightly higher than the comparable period of the previous fiscal year. For 2007, no essential change in turnover is expected as the market situation of our customers still remains challenging.

In the months January to April of the current fiscal year the turnover was Euro 26.5 Million (previous year: Euro 26.3 Million). Dietmar Kurz, Chairman of the Board of Executives sees the increase of incoming orders in this period of time by 15.3 per cent to Euro 30.1 Million very positively. This is also reflected in the order volume that has been increased by Euro 4.6 Million to Euro 29.0 Million since end of the year. This order volume is not yet satisfactory for the company. The period result before taxes with Euro 0.5 Million was with Euro 1.0 Million lower than the result from the same period in 2006. “Anyhow, there is a slight operational improvement, through a single effect of Euro 1.2 Million,” explained Chief Financial Officer Dr. Manfred Kühn.
The company’s goal in 2007 is to achieve a result of operation on the level of previous year. The risks to achieving this result lie with the customers’ capital expenditure plans and the current development costs.

After the discharge of the board of executives and the supervisory board, the general meeting appointed Martin Weickenmeier, Dr. Hans-Peter Sollinger, Christoph Klenk and Reinhart Siewert as representatives of the shareholders on the supervisory board. Three weeks before Guido Richer and Bernd Klein were elected by the employees of the company as employee representatives. Kurz explained: “We are looking forward to a positive and productive cooperation.” In the subsequent meeting the board chose Martin Weickenmeier as Chairman of the supervisory board and Guido Richer as his deputy.
